The Family Giving Tree recently donated 200 “education relief kits” for San Pablo students, according to the City of San Pablo.
The city has had a partnership with the Milpitas-based nonprofit for 10 years that has provided local youth and families new backpacks and school supplies at the start of the school year.
With schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Family Giving Tree created education relief kits to help prepare youth and families for education at home.
On Tuesday, April 21, City of San Pablo staff traveled to the Family Giving Tree headquarters to pick up the 200 kits, which consist of pens, pencils, highlighters, crayons, markers, color pencils, erasers, sharpeners, and more.
“The Community Services Department and San Pablo Beacon Directors are working hard to deliver the kits to San Pablo youth and families,” the city said in a Facebook post.
