Hercules to host 2nd Annual Lunar New Year Celebration

The City of Hercules will hold its second annual Lunar New Year Parade and Festival this Sunday, March 1.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. and travels along Refugio Valley Road between Hercules High School and Hercules Middle School. The Bay Front Chamber of Commerce and the City of Hercules are hosting the event, which features live music, marching bands, and dancers. Families can also see classic cars and children will receive lucky red envelopes.

The parade ends at the Community Swim Center, where the festival continues with more entertainment and activities.

Drivers should plan for street closures starting at 12:30 p.m. along the parade route. People attending the event can find parking at Hercules Middle School, Hercules High School, or the Hercules Community Center.
