The City of San Pablo named Police Services Technician Alma Gil as its Employee of the Month for August 2025, recognizing her exceptional leadership in organizing this year’s National Night Out (NNO) event.
NNO is an annual event celebrated nationally aimed at strengthening neighborhood relationships and police-community partnerships.
Faced with an unforeseen staffing challenge, Gil stepped in to lead the event’s planning. Despite the late start, her tireless efforts, organizational skills, and attention to detail ensured the event’s success.
The celebration on Aug. 5 at the San Pablo Community Center welcomed over 1,300 community members and featured participation from local businesses, community organizations, and city staff.
Gil’s dedication was formally recognized during the city’s August birthday celebration for staff, where she was presented with the Employee of the Month award.
