The West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) is inviting members of the local public school community to participate in town hall meetings related to the search for a permanent superintendent.
One of the upcoming Town Halls will take place Monday, Feb. 24, at various locations across the WCCUSD. The full list of locations is available on the district’s website at the Superintendent Search web address.
On Tuesday, Feb. 25, a hybrid Town Hall meeting will take place in DeJean Middle School’s Multipurpose Room in two sessions, from 6-7 p.m. and from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Join via Zoom here.
The following day on Wednesday, Feb. 26, will feature another hybrid Town Hall meeting, this time at Richmond High School’s Library from 6-7 p.m. and from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Join via Zoom here.
“These town halls are designed to provide multiple opportunities for stakeholders to share their insights on the qualities and priorities they hope to see in the district’s next leader,” the district said.
The Superintendent Search Survey is now open and available in English, Spanish, and Arabic. The survey will remain open through March 3, and can be accessed on the Superintendent Search website.
Currently, Richmond native Dr. Kim Moses is serving as interim superintendent of the WCCUSD after Superintendent Dr. Kenneth C. Hurst retired in December.
