Customers swinging by Baltic Kiss in Point Richmond usually can expect to sink into some Southern style eats and live entertainment, but soon they’ll have the chance to discover some “Funky Finds” to boot. The establishment’s incomparable Suzie Vasco—better known in these parts as “Miss Suzie”—will be joining forces with other vendors to host “Miss Suzie’s Fabulous Funky Finds Clothing Bash” Sat., Feb. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Baltic Kiss. So what kind of funky finds will be afoot? Visitors can expect repurposed and recycled handcrafted vintage, new and used clothing and costumes, as well as jewelry from Miss Suzie as well as numerous fellow vendors. Free appetizers and wine will also be available, and the Black Star BBQ truck will be on hand because nobody wants to be hangry while shopping. Topping things off will be live music and $10 astrology readings. Miss Suzie was known to play host to similar eclectic bashes nearby her partner, Chef Tony’s, Black Star Pirate BBQ restaurant before it reincarnated as a food truck behind Baltic Kiss. She told the Standard that she hopes to continue the bashes at Baltic Kiss in the future as well. Find Miss Suzie’s Fabulous Funky Finds Clothing Bash at Baltic Kiss, 135 Park Pl. in Point Richmond.
