The new Ace Hardware of Pinole, which opened Aug. 8 at 1440 Fitzgerald Drive, is set to hold grand opening festivities from Sept. 13-15, during which time there will be special sales and all purchases will be tax free, store reps have announced.

A “board cutting” ceremony will kick off the ceremonies Friday, Sept. 13 at 9 a.m., with dignitaries and store associates cutting a ceremonial board to mark the occasion.

The celebration will continue Saturday, Sept. 14, with family-friendly activities, vendor demonstrations, product deals and more from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kids will be able to enjoy free fun such as face painting and a “paint-a-pot” activity. Free kettle corn will be offered. Chainsaw carver Matt Holmes will be on hand. And there will be a host of vendor demonstrations including “BBQ grills and tastings from Big Green Egg, Traeger and Weber, outdoor power equipment and power tools from Makita, the latest gift options from Hallmark, Rust-Oleum paints, Soda Stream sparkling water makers, and lawn and garden products from SunGro and Raindrip,” according to store officials.
