Bay Area Derby (BAD) will kick off its 20th Anniversary season with its first post-COVID-19 game featuring Oakland and San Francisco teams on June 1 at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium at 6 p.m.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and drinks, food, raffles, activities for the kids, and an exciting halftime show will all be included.
VIP packages will come with exclusive trackside seats and two drink tickets. The first 100 guests will receive a special 20 Year Anniversary prize.
BAD is a full contact, flat track roller derby league headquartered in Oakland and consisting of two home teams, a competitive travel team, a training program for adults and juniors, game officials and volunteers. Founded in 2004, BAD is an empowering community for queer athletes, as covered by the San Francisco Chronicle.
In addition to June 1, games are also scheduled on Sept. 14 and Oct. 19 at Richmond Memorial Auditorium.
