A “Winter Wonderland” will come to Richmond Saturday, Dec. 23 from 4 to 6:30 p.m., courtesy of the McGlothen Temple Church of God in Christ.
The church welcomes community members to experience the magic of the Christmas season at the free event with various activities ranging from food and games to toy and clothing giveaways.
Pastor Willie C. Haynes III said the event offers a chance “to celebrate the joy of the Christmas season and open our doors and hearts to the community to spread God’s love.”
The Protestant place of worship is known locally as the “Mother Church,” and has been a part of the North Richmond community for nearly 100 years.
