The Veterans Resource Program, which provides transitional and permanent housing for veterans, will host a celebration on Veterans Day at its headquarters at 934 Maine Ave. in Richmond on Friday, Nov. 10.
The fair is free and open to the community and will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will take place along the closed street on Maine Avenue between S. 9th Street and Harbour Way.
The event’s opening ceremony will include the presentation of colors from De Anza High School’s JROTC, followed by speakers John Seimen and Delphine Metcalf Foster, the daughter of an original Buffalo Soldier.
The flag presentation will honor 11 veterans. Lunch and refreshments will also be provided free of charge.
