‘Saturday Family Chess for Success’ classes coming to Richmond Rec

Here’s a mentally stimulating and fun activity the whole family will enjoy.

“Saturday Family Chess for Success” classes are coming to the Richmond Recreation Center on Aug. 12, Aug. 26, Sept. 9 and Sept. 2, TC Ball of the West Coast Chess Alliance has announced. All classes run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

“These classes are intended for new and beginner chess players, or anyone interested in learning how to play the royal game of chess—followed by open-match play,” Ball said. “Our instructors will guide you through various strategies and techniques to improve your game. With personalized attention, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and practice at your own pace.”

Please note chess sets and chess clocks are supplied.
