Point Richmond Gallery set to unveil images of Point Molate Park

A “Point Molate Park Photography Exhibit” will celebrate its grand opening Sat., June 24 from 1-5 p.m. and the show will continue on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 p.m. until Aug. 6.

“See stunning images of Point Molate wildlife and landscapes featuring local photographers Jack Scheinman, Jeff Peterson and Tony Tamayo,” said the gallery in a statement.

At the Grand Opening, the gallery will serve up tostadas with a flattering edible portrait of the show’s wildlife representative, Molly the River Otter, made by The Great Tortilla Conspiracy. Local Point Richmond restaurant, Masa, will also be serving aguas frescas.

“Festive introductions and music will be presented,” said the gallery about the grand opening.

The event is sponsored by The Point Molate Alliance, Blue Frontier, Friends of Point Molate Park, Sierra Club’s SF Bay Chapter, West Contra Costa County Group of the Sierra Club, Rubicon Bakers and Golden Gate Audubon, per the gallery.

The Point Richmond Gallery is located at 145 West Richmond Ave. in Richmond.
