Get ready to start creating, as registration opens today, Wed., May 3, for summer classes at the Richmond Art Center (RAC).

Adults and kids alike can peruse the summer class catalogue, which includes selections such as Stop Motion Animation and Street Art 101 for the younger set, and Precious Metal Clay Jewelry Making and Beginning/Intermediate Wheel for mature artists.

An eclectic array of new classes are lined up for summer at the RAC, including: Original Character Workshop; Everyday Still-life; Line by Line: Introduction to Tapestry Weaving; Digital Art 101; and Botanical Nature Printing, according to the art center.

A whole host of summer art camp options—with themes like “Foodie Camp” and “Fun with Textiles”—are also available for children ages 5-12.

Think you can’t afford it? Think again. New RAC students can use the coupon code popsicle2023 to receive 20 percent off their first class. Needs-based Art Boost scholarships are also available. Apply by clicking here.
