Richmond nonprofit House of Loving Hands is welcoming sign-ups for its “Christmas Toy Giveaway,” as well as donations supporting the effort in the form of toys or financial contributions.

Families can register to receive toys for up to four children at the third annual Christmas Toy Giveaway, which is set for Sunday, Dec. 19 from 12-3 p.m. at CoBiz Richmond, 1503 Macdonald Ave., Suite A in Richmond. Families should register for toys in advance; to do so, call Deneisha Clemons at 510-730-1162 or LaShon Limbrick 214-801-4191. IDs and masks are required at families’ designated pick up time.

“This year’s goal is to giveaway toys to 100 families and children and we need your help,” stated House of Loving Hands in its event info.

Community members can offer that help via donations of toys or money. Toy donations can be dropped off at CoBiz Richmond Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Organizers ask that toys be in their package and appropriate for kids 0-18 years old.

Monetary donations, all of which will be applied toward toys or gift cards for the families, can be made via the House of Loving Hands’ website, Venmo (@HOLH2018) or Cash App ($HOLH2018).

Founded by Deneshia Clemons, House of Loving Hands aims to establish a safe haven for abused women and their children via counseling, therapy, group sessions, job training, love and support to help their clients get back on their feet, per its website. Learn more here.
