Three people were killed and five others wounded in a shooting in Richmond Sunday night.

The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 2100 block of Dunn Ave., police said. Police state there was a house party going on in the area with about 80 to 100 people at the time and believe two shooters were involved.

Two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene, and a third “later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital,” police said. Of the five surviving victims, at least three had been released from the hospital as of Monday morning, police said.

Police say the shooting appears to have been targeted but that “the motive is unknown at this time.”

“This incident is an active and ongoing investigation,” police said.
