An online workshop will gave Richmond and North Richmond homeowners the 411 on how they can save 60 to 90 percent on their electric bill by going solar.
The free “GRID Alternatives and City of Richmond No-Cost Solar Workshop” on Monday offered info about the program, which provides no-cost solar systems to qualifying Richmond and North Richmond homeowners and additional assistance pertaining to electrical upgrades, reroofs and EV charging infrastructure.
The GRID Alternatives program is funded by the City of Richmond and the State of California.
To qualify for the program, you must live and own your own home in the City of Richmond and your 2019 household income must be at or below the following amounts: $34,480/1-2 people; $54,300/3 people; $65,500/4 people; $76,700/5 people; $87,900/6 people; $99,100/7 people; and plus $11,200 per person for additional people.
