The City of Richmond Aquatics is offering lifeguard class this weekend at the Richmond Swim Center.

The class will be held from Friday, Sept. 6 through Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Richmond Swim Center, 4300 Cutting Blvd. next to Kennedy High School.

Richmond lifeguard instructors will teach the American Red Cross class. In order to participate in the class, you should be a strong swimmer and must take a pre-course and online assignment.

The City of Richmond hires lifeguards year-round for the two indoor pools, including the Plunge in Point Richmond. Flexible schedules are available.

“We especially need lifeguards for weekday morning and evening shifts,” city officials said.
