Two drones, laptops stolen in Pt. Richmond window-smash burglary

An auto burglary in Point Richmond Wednesday night led to the theft of two drones, a camera and lenses, and two Apple laptops, police said.

The burglary occurred about 10:40 p.m. at Railroad Avenue and East Richmond Street, where arriving police found a shattered car window, police said.

Stolen items included:

+ (2) Drones: DJI Mavic 2 Zoom + Mavic 2 Pro
+Nikon D800
+Lenses: 24-70, 70-200, 60, 85, 10.5, SB-800 Speedlight
+Light meter
+Apple Macbook Pro
+Apple Macbook Air
+Black Pelican case

RPD also encouraged motorists to remove all visible items from their parked vehicles.

  1. It’s my opinion that if you leave those type of expensive items visible in your parked car at night you deserve to get them taken! Some people might say why should they not be able to leave personal items in their cars?! But everyone knows there are criminals out there looking specifically for those type of items left unattended for them to take. So let’s be smart people and put these items in your trunk or TAKE THEM WITH YOU WHEN YOU EXIT YOUR VEHICLE!
