Urban Tilth is holding its first annual Festival of Flowers at the North Richmond Farm in honor of mothers.
The free, family-friendly event will occur this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the budding North Richmond Farm at 323 Brookside Drive.
The day will start at 11 a.m. with a brunch buffet, and ongoing activities throughout the event will include flower bouquet, flower crown making tables, a photo booth, dance performances and more. There will also be a Mother’s Day raffle where every mom will receive one free ticket upon entry. More tickets are available for purchase, with funds raised benefiting Urban Tilth’s school and community garden programs,” the nonprofit said in a statement.
“By raising our kids with knowledge and protecting our environment our mothers make a change by planting healthy seeds and helping to create a healthy environment,” Faanape Mikaio, a North Richmond resident, said in an Urban Tilth statement.
