The Richmond Art Center will host a free Spring Family Day on Saturday, April 25, from noon to 3 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Making and Growing Across Generations,” which highlights how art connects people of all ages.
Visitors can participate in several hands-on activities in the courtyard, such as making seed paper and painting pottery. Local artists have created coloring sheets for the event, and guests can join a community project called “The Gift.” The center will also host a gallery “search and find” with prizes for children.
The Carquinez Environmental Education Center will be present to share information about local plant restoration. While most activities do not require an RSVP, a specific writing and movement workshop for elders does require advanced registration.
Free parking is available in the 25th Street lot across from the center. The building is wheelchair accessible from the Barrett Avenue entrance and is located near BART and AC Transit stops.
