Doolitte Construction is contracting with the city to perform paving work on the Wildcat Creek Trail between Rumrill Boulevard and the Brookside traill access point by Davis Park on Saturday, Sept. 30.

The work will occur between 8 a.m. and 2 a.m., weather permitting.

The project aims to extend the life of the existing trail, with help from State Coastal Conservancy grant funding, according to the city.

“Access to the trail from Davis Park will be restricted during construction in the morning, but should return to regular use in the late afternoon,” city officials said.

All the work is expected to be completed in one day.

The Wildcat Creek Trail, a project completed in 2021 (see the video below for more on its history), provides a pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists to travel away from auto traffic while enjoying native plants and wildlife of the East Bay region.
