The Point Richmond Gallery will open a new exhibition, “solitude,” featuring the photography of Richard Ward.
The public is invited to an opening reception on Sunday, June 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition will remain on display through July 12. The gallery, located at 145 W. Richmond Ave., is open weekends from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Ward has spent more than 50 years developing a photography practice that spans traditional darkroom film and digital imaging. After working as a newspaper photographer and in photo industry sales, he relocated to the Bay Area in 1979.
For the past 36 years, Ward has also served as the primary instrument photographer for Ifshin Violins, documenting historic violins and bows while continuing to pursue his fine art photography projects.
