Richmond Police officers are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue on Wednesday.
The victim was airlifted to a local hospital with moderate injuries and is expected to survive, police said. No further details about the case were immediately available.
The incident was the latest in a spate of shootings in the city, including a homicide in the 300 block of Macdonald Avenue earlier Wednesday and a non-injury shooting near an elementary school Monday afternoon.
