The third annual “Easter Fest” will spring into The Backyard in Richmond with a 400-egg hunt and more Sunday, April 20 from noon to 6 p.m.
The Cutting Avenue eatery with spacious outdoor digs has upped the number of eggs in its hunt by 100 versus last year. The egg hunt starts at 1 p.m. and families should bring their own baskets.
“This is our favorite family-oriented event of the year and for good reason—this event is free for our community and the community shows up,” said Co-owner Dominique Kauffman, who operates the business with her husband Emmet. She expressed gratitude for the community interest and said they “can’t wait to celebrate another Easter Fest with you all.”
Free live music will kick off starting at 2 p.m. courtesy of Los Bahianatos, a Cumbia band.
Featuring a menu of numerous burgers, sandwiches, tartines and kiddie options, The Backyard will also serve up mimosa special and a Far West Cider guava keg for adult revelers that day.
The Backyard is a family-and-dog-friendly outdoor beer & wine garden, food truck and live music venue. Find it at 205 Cutting Blvd. in Richmond.
