Local collaborators are coming together again to host to a “Neighborhood Maker’s Faire” this Sunday, March 23 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the convergence of Clinton & San Pablo Avenues in Richmond.

The Factory Bar will partner with its nearby neighbors including Tacos El Tucan, Waffles & Cream, Fabulous PlantsMetztli and Catahoula Coffee to host booths from more than 60 artists, artisans and neighborhood organizations.

The event will feature live music by Los Alegres Callejeros and Quinn Monteiro, as well as a bunny petting area by Richmond-based House Rabbit Society and a “sneak peek” at the Bay Area Roller Derby team that’s debuting this season at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium on April 5.

The Factory Bar’s patio will be open for those age 21 and over, but the other businesses are open to all and many will be serving food. Booths will be set up in The Factory’s parking lot and beyond.

Co-founders of The Factory Bar Michelle Guest and Tom Lyons previously told the Standard that San Pablo Ave. at Clinton Ave. has blossomed into a bustling, walkable place of community. Lyons said that since they’re situated between the North and East and East Richmond Heights neighborhoods, there’s a lot of energy from families, businesses and community organizations and that their Makers Faire is a great opportunity to celebrate that energy and bring everyone out.
