Richmond police uncovered another local shop selling cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms illegally as they continued compliance inspections of tobacco retailers. Except this time they also seized two handguns with extended magazines in the unnamed store, including one gun that was reported stolen, police said.

As recently reported, Richmond police have been randomly inspecting tobacco retailers and finding that several have been selling cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms illegally.

During another round of inspections on Tuesday, Nov. 26, they came upon another shop in violation, but unlike previous inspections detectives found firearms.

“Drugs and guns definitely don’t mix, and detectives arrested the shopkeeper,” police said, adding “Businesses engaged in illegal activities face criminal charges, hefty fines, and potential closure of their operations.”
