The first ever ‘Confident Catwalk,’ a women’s empowerment event, is set to take place Saturday at Richmond Food Hall and feature speeches from social entrepreneur and mentor Sheryl Grant, along with lifestyle blogger and celebrity model Charlie from Charlie on the Spot.
The event, aimed at celebrating women who walk unapologetically in their purpose, will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Richmond Food Hall, located at 1503 Macdonald Ave., next to the Richmond BART Station.
“We will have a showcasing of 13 female business vendors, music by DJ Sticky (Joaquin Andrade) and media coverage from Truth FM radio,” said Contesa Tate, CARE Center Director at Greater Richmond Interfaith Program and founder of A Virtuous Woman’s Ministry.
The event will also feature an awards ceremony honoring women ho have been recognized for being unapologetic women of purpose in their community, Tate said.
