The Richmond Little League is keeping a positive mental attitude that they will have a season this year. To that end, the League is currently welcoming sign-ups for the 2021 spring season for tee ball, baseball and softball via its website. Pandemic-permitting, the spring season will run from March 1 through April 30, 2021.

Local youth ages 4-6 years old can register for tee ball for $75 per player and 7-year-old beginners can register for $125. Baseball and softball sign-ups, which are open to youth ages 7 and up, are $125 per player and $100 for siblings. Families experiencing financial challenges due to COVID-19 are encouraged to inquire about an available scholarship program.

According to League officials, fees won’t be collected until they are certain they will have a season. At that point, 100 percent of the fees must be paid in full before a youth will be placed on a team.

The League’s first workout is slated for Sat., March 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Nicholl Park, 3230 Macdonald Ave., Richmond. Masks are mandatory; youth should have their own helmets and should bring all of their equipment to practice.

Want to help out the League by volunteering as a manager, coach or board member? Sign-up on the League’s website under “Registration Info.”
