6 Oakland A’s games serve as fundraisers for the Richmond Promise

Purchasing tickets to one of these six Oakland A’s home games this season will help support the Richmond Promise program, which provides scholarships and guidance for every Richmond and North Richmond high school senior who is headed to college.

See the dates below for the games that were selected to be part of the Oakland A’s Non Profit Ticket Fundraising Program.

“By purchasing tickets to one of the select games listed on this link, you will qualify for a special ticket discount,” according to Richmond City Manager Bill Lindsay’s latest newsletter. “In addition, 25-percent of every ticket sold will go back to our organization!”

The Richmond Promise offers $1,500 annually for local high school seniors attending a 2-year or 4-year college or university, or a Career Technical Education Program. Additionally, the Promise provides support in financial aid applications and college preparedness and serves as a home base of support for college students through the completion of their degrees. This year, nearly 481 scholarships totaling about $2.45 million were awarded to students as part of the program.
