The inaugural running of the Marina Bay Half Marathon, also called “The Riveter,” will start and finish at the Craneway Pavilion on Sunday.

Organizers are calling the event, which also includes 10K and 5K races, an “awe-inspiring experience and journey through history.” They suggest running long distances, especially for the first time, could channel the spirit of Rosie the Riveter because participants trying something new must test their limits and believe in themselves.

The good news? The course is flat, fast and thus “ensures” a personal record, organizers said.

The half marathon starts at 7 a.m., with the shorter distance races heading out at 7:30 a.m. A course map for the half marathon is below, with the numbers representing the mile markers.

The views from the trail will undoubtedly help runners along. Each course has a 3-hour time limit, after which runners will have to obey all traffic rules.
