The San Francisco Bay Ferry is implementing several changes to its Richmond line as part of a broader system-wide update aimed at improving reliability and trip cadence.
These updates affect both morning and evening commuters traveling between the Richmond Ferry Terminal and the Downtown San Francisco Ferry Building.
Westbound service updates to San Francisco
Commuters traveling from Richmond to Downtown San Francisco will see significant changes to mid-morning and late-evening departures. The 11 a.m. westbound trip has been eliminated from the schedule entirely. Additionally, the midday service previously scheduled for 12:20 p.m. has been moved 20 minutes earlier and will now depart Richmond at noon. For those traveling at night, the 8:15 p.m. westbound departure is shifting 10 minutes later to a new time of 8:25 p.m.
Eastbound service updates to Richmond
Return trips from Downtown San Francisco to Richmond are also being adjusted to better align with fleet operations. The 10:20 a.m. eastbound trip is being removed from the daily rotation. Passengers who usually rely on the 11:40 a.m. departure should prepare for an earlier start, as that trip will now leave at 11:20 a.m. Finally, the evening eastbound trip originally set for 6:50 p.m. will now depart 5 minutes later at 6:55 p.m.
