The East Bay Regional Park District is calling on outdoor lovers and hands-on workers to join its team as park rangers.
Park rangers help maintain and improve parks and trails across Alameda and Contra Costa counties. That can mean mowing and trimming, fixing signs and fences, building and repairing trails, and talking to visitors.
A strong candidate is comfortable using mowers, chainsaws, chippers, and other tools; handy with building, fixing, and trail work; knows landscaping, turf and basic grounds care; friendly and ready to help park visitors; dependable, quick to learn and adaptable.
Whether you’ve worked in maintenance, landscaping, construction, land management, or just love being outdoors and helping people, this gig could be a fit. Rangers work in all kinds of weather and locations, so flexibility and a “can-do” attitude go a long way.
Pay and benefits are competitive for the region, including health coverage and other perks.
