Seniors are invited to don their finery and hit the dance floor as the Richmond Commission on Aging (RCOA), in partnership with the city’s Community Services-Recreation Department, brings back its signature social event: the 26th Annual Senior Winter Ball on Saturday, Dec. 13.
The gala from 6-10 p.m. at the historic Richmond Memorial Auditorium (403 Civic Center Plaza) will welcome guests for a full dinner served from 6:45 p.m.-7:45 p.m., followed by live music from Top Shelf Classics Party & Show Band, whose repertoire spans Motown, soul and timeless dance favorites.
Tickets are $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight and are non-refundable.
“This event is more than a dance — it’s a celebration of resilience, friendship and the joy of aging with grace,” said Commissioner Bryan Harris, secretary of RCOA. “We invite seniors from across Richmond and beyond to dress to impress, reconnect with old friends and make new ones on the dance floor.”
Registration is open via phone (510-620-6793), email (csdregistration@ci.richmond.ca.us) or in person at 3230 Macdonald Ave. in Richmond.
