Richmond police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the area of Potrero Avenue and Carlson Boulevard just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Officers responded to multiple calls reporting gunfire, and upon arrival found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A short time later, a second individual arrived at a local trauma center with a gunshot wound. Investigators are working to determine whether this person was involved in the same incident. Homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.
No arrests have been made at this time. According to the department, this tragic event marks the city’s third homicide of 2025. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Marecek at (510) 621-1835.
