On Sunday, June 29, and Monday, June 30, The Factory Bar at 12517 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond will host a free First-Time Homebuyers Workshop in its garden patio.
Thanks to local realtor Daniel Hunter and mortgage broker Peter Barnes, attendees will gain step-by-step guidance on navigating the homeownership journey—including funding options, credit prep, and loan processes.
Two identical sessions are available. It’s a relaxed yet informative setting where first-time buyers can gain clarity, ask questions, and walk away empowered. A complimentary drink is included for each attendee (21+ only; registration required).
Tom Lyons, co-owner of The Factory Bar, said he hopes the workshops will help people seeking home ownership to achieve that dream.
“So many of us waited till much later in life to purchase our first home, mostly out of just not having the knowledge of the proper steps and access to the tools that are out there to help,” said Lyons. “Without that knowledge it can often times feel like it’s out of reach. These workshops will help empower people with the knowledge and contacts to know how to get there.”
Attendees are asked to register by using the QR code in the following flyer.
