Richmond Fire Station 63 is returning with its activity-packed Open House event on Saturday, May 17.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fire Station 63, which is located at 5210 Valley View Road (corner of Valley View and Amend), near areas of the city considered to be in moderate to very high fire severity zones.
The Fire Station hosts an Open House annually to network with residents and provide information on wildfire mitigation efforts and home safety tips. Residents get to meet firefighters, city staff and volunteers while enjoying free BBQ, fire station tours, demonstrations and activities for kids.
Attendees will learn more about wildfire mitigation efforts and steps to become a “firewise” neighborhood.
