A driver was arrested on I-80 in Richmond on suspicion of brandishing a firearm during a highway road rage incident in Oakland on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP received a report from a victim about 4:35 p.m. that a suspect brandished a firearm in the area of I-880 northbound at 7th Street. The victim provided a description of the subject and the vehicle.
A suspect vehicle was located and pulled over in the area of I-80 eastbound at Carlson Boulevard, according to CHP. During the traffic stop, the driver was arrested and a firearm was seized as evidence.
The driver was booked into Santa Rita Jail for charges related to brandishing a firearm, multiple firearm violations, and an outstanding warrant, the CHP stated.
