NIAD Art Center’s upcoming exhibition “Poetry is Everywhere” is underscored by one resounding premise: “Poetry isn’t just written words. It’s art. Visual poetry and words are artwork,” according to the center.

The new exhibition is organized by NIAD’s Artist Advisory Committee and is set to open Feb. 8 through March 21 in NIAD’s Main Gallery, 551 23rd St. in Richmond. An opening reception is happening in the same gallery Saturday, Feb. 8 from 1-4 p.m. in celebration of the power and prevalence of poetry as art, said NIAD. It will feature a poetry reading.
