Richmond Firefighters Local 188 shared images of the aftermath of a two-car crash on Carlson Boulevard over the weekend.
It happened just after 10 a.m. on Saturday. Richmond firefighters responded to the area of Carlson Boulevard and Imperial Avenue and found two vehicles with major damage, including one which struck an unoccupied bus stop bench before colliding with a power pole, snapping the pole at its base.
“The second vehicle had catastrophic damage to the passenger side,” stated Local 188, the union that represents city firefighters.
All three people traveling in the vehicles will survive, but they were taken to area hospitals with various injuries, officials said.
Richmondside reports that the crash followed a Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office pursuit.
“Richmond firefighters want to remind everyone once again to always wear your seat belt and obey all traffic laws,” stated Local 188.
