The Richmond Police Department conducted a two-day traffic operation and quality of life enforcement operation in and around the 23rd Street corridor that resulted in 45 traffic citations, 22 parking citations and 90 vehicles marked for potential parking violations.
One arrest was made for public intoxication and one vehicle was impounded as part of the operation, which aimed in part to deter prostitution on 23rd Street.
“We appreciate the public for letting us know about ongoing quality of life issues in their neighborhoods,” the RPD stated in the wake of the two-day operation. “Together we can keep Richmond safe.”
