The Richmond Little League launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $100,000 to rebuild the Snack Shack at Nicholl Park, which is in disrepair and unusable.

The goal is to reconstruct Nicholl Park’s Snack Shack and “create a hub that is worthy of the wonderful children and families we serve,” said Eva L. Padilla Romero, president of the Richmond Little League. The effort will be a multi-year project and appealed for community support, she said.

The Richmond Little League’s history of serving Richmond youth is a long one. During the league’s weekend games and tournaments, the Snack Shack is a hub of activity and provides a place for children and families to connect and build relationships, Romero said.
