The lone occupant of a car that crashed and rolled over off I-580 near the Bayview Avenue offramp Wednesday night sustained only minor injuries, fire officials said.
The incident was reported at about 6:30 p.m. and crews came upon the scene of a vehicle that sustained significant damage after it came to rest well off the roadway, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union representing Richmond firefighters.
“After the patient was transported to a local hospital, T64 members worked to cut and remove a large piece of metal guardrail that was blocking the roadway,” fire officials said.
Further details about the crash weren’t immediately available.
