No injuries were reported in a fire that broke out in the back and attic area of a business on San Pablo Avenue Wednesday night.

Just before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Richmond firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire in the 12000 block of San Pablo Avenue, according to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, which posted video from the firefight.

The first crew arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the rear of the business. While Richmond crews worked to gain access into the building, a Con Fire crew was sent to the roof to perform vertical ventilation, fire officials said.

Additional resources assisted with controlling the fire located in the back and attic area of the building.

The flames were extinguished within 15 minutes, before damage was caused to adjacent structures, Local 188 stated.

A cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
