RecycleMore is hosting a free Free Household Hazardous Waste and Mattress Drop-Off Collection Event for West Contra Costa County residents in El Sobrante on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The free event will take place at Hilltop Church of Christ, 3301 Morningside Drive. It is open to residents of areas including El Cerrito, Richmond, San Pablo, Pinole, Hercules, and surrounding unincorporated communities of Bayview, East Richmond Heights, El Sobrante, Montalvin Manor, North Richmond, Rollingwood and Tara Hills. Be sure to bring proof of residency.
“This is a great event for residents in the RecycleMore jurisdiction and offers a free and safe way for the community to properly dispose of unwanted HHW items,” says Peter Holtzclaw, Executive Director of RecycleMore.

Residents that are not able to attend this event can use the permanent facility that accepts HHW items and mattresses all year round: The West Contra Costa County Household Hazardous Waste Facility opens from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday at 101 Pittsburg Ave. in Richmond.
