Temple Beth Hillel in Richmond is inviting the community to a free concert event on Sunday May 7.
“Love Songs and Lullabies Concert Program” featuring Cantor Marney Margules and piano accompanist Maryanne Kim will take start at 2 p.m. at Temple Beth Hillel, 801 Park Central (Hilltop Drive exit/I-80). Refreshments will follow the concert.
Open to the entire community, the concert program will include love songs and lullabies in Yiddish, Ladino, and English by Jewish composers from around the world. Selections range from traditional songs to Broadway and beyond.
Margules is a classically trained mezzo-soprano with decades of experience singing at synagogues. She is also a dynamic performer who has engaged in numerous opera, lieder, Broadway, cabaret and concert productions throughout the Bay Area. For more information on Margules, go here.
