For chess players inspired by the recent 10th Annual Williams-Easterling Community Chess Tournament at the Richmond Recreation Center, here’s a great way to stay in the game.
TC Ball of the West Coast Chess Alliance alerted us to the “Chess Challenge” at the Factory Bar at 12517 San Pablo Ave. in Richmond.
Every second Thursday, the Factory Bar’s Polka Dot Room is hosting a Blitz Championship and open play.
“It is free and open to 21 and over,” Ball said. “Bring your own chess set and clock.”
