A person died on the tracks at the Richmond Station this morning, prompting the temporary closure of the station Thursday morning.
“Police say there was no foul play and the person intentionally entered the track,” BART reported. “Our thoughts are with this person, our train operator + responding crews.”
511 SF Bay reported the incident at 6:17 a.m. About one hour later, BART confirmed the fatality.
BART encouraged those struggling emotionally or in crisis to call for help at 1-800-273-8255.
