A 44-year-old man was fatally shot in the 900 block of 9th Street Friday night, police said.
Officers responded to the area following a ShotSpotter activation of 20 rounds at 6:51 p.m. and found Joe Frank Walker III, a Richmond resident, suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
An argument may have led up to the shooting, police said.
