Richmond police are investigating the death of a man found shot in his residence near Shields-Reid Park on Saturday.
Just before 10 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of Alamo Avenue on a report of a homicide, according to Richmond police Capt. Al Walle. A woman said she went to her friend’s home to check on his welfare and found that he had been shot, Walle said.
There are no known suspects at this time, Walle added.
The man’s identity was not immediately known.
