At NIAD Art Center’s upcoming annual benefit, everyone wins.
The Richmond-based Art Center, a nonprofit which helps nurture the artistic development of people with disabilities, will host its annual benefit event “Win Win 8” Saturday, March 7 from 3-6 p.m. at CoBiz Richmond, 1503 Macdonald Ave. All ticketholders will take home a 6×6 artwork by a NIAD artist.
General admission tickets are $65 per person and are available here. Per NIAD, ticketholders will receive “a randomly chosen, original artwork by a NIAD artist,” and will enjoy an afternoon of food, drinks (including beer from Ghost Town Brewing and wine from Gold Line Brands), music by DJ Bill Zindel and a brief documentary movie screening that offers a glimpse at a day in the life at the Art Center. Diego Garcia will serve as the event’s emcee. Tickets for tables are also available.
Win Win 8 will include a silent auction featuring the works of NIAD artists, including: Saul Alegria, Mireya Betances, Lisa Blevins, Jeremy Burleson, Deatra Colbert, Julio Del Rio, Luis Estrada, Sylvia Fragoso, Felicia Griffin, Shana Harper, Raven Harper, Nathan Lam, Julie MacDonald, Sara Malpass, Erica Martinez, Karen May, Ann Meade, Halisi Noel-Johnson, Maria Radilla, Dorrie Reid, Shantae Robinson, Jesus Salas, Esmeralda Silva, Tre’von Silva, Jonathan Velazquez and Matthew Wilson.
Bidding is already available on silent auction items via NIAD’s online event page; winners will be announced at the Win Win 8 benefit. During the benefit, there will also be a live auction featuring works donated by local artists who support the Art Center’s mission.
