Mister Phillips has filed papers to run for re-election to the Democratic County Central Committee. He will be on the March 3, 2020, Primary Election Ballot.
A Navy veteran, attorney and member of the West Contra Costa Unified School District Board of Education, Phillips has represented District 1 on the Committee since 2012. District 1 includes El Cerrito, Pinole, Richmond, San Pablo, El Sobrante, Kensington, Montalvin Manor, Rollingwood, and Tara Hills.
During his tenure, Phillips, who advocated for public education, public safety, senior services, and other issues, received the California Democratic Party Veterans Caucus Democratic Achievement Award.
